Grains that are moist and have a humidity level above 13% spoil quickly, lose color, mold, and develop an odor. Bulgur has its own distinct smell, taste, and color. There should be no brown grains known as “kosemer” or white grains in bulgur.

Storage Conditions:

It is recommended to store dry legumes in a cloth bag. Heat and humidity can cause spoilage and insect infestation. The best storage condition is at 5-10°C and 50-60% relative humidity.
